My story is why ACCTS exists

My work did not begin in a clinic. It began in my own home.

Years ago, my father suffered a severe stroke. I stayed by his side through his recovery, watching him fight his way back to health — a fight he won so completely that he went on to complete a degree in theology. Some years later, he was diagnosed with cancer, and he passed away. Walking with him through both seasons, recovery and illness, changed how I understood the brain, the body, and what it truly means to heal.

Not long after, I found myself walking a different road with my own son, who was diagnosed with severe autism, epilepsy, and learning difficulties. I poured everything I had — every ounce of knowledge, faith, and determination — into supporting his recovery. Today, he is thirteen years old, has overcome each of those diagnoses, and remains free of medication for epilepsy — living evidence that the brain is able to heal when it is properly supported.

I did all of this as a single mother, building a business, raising a child with complex needs, and holding my own life together through seasons that tested me in every way. That lived experience — not just clinical training — is the foundation of everything I now do.

Over the past ten years, that personal journey has grown into a life's work supporting families across 36 countries. I have walked alongside mothers who had resigned from work, and helped them return. I have supported families through what many had been told to accept as permanent, and watched them experience what can only be called miracles in the world of autism and brain health.

ACCTS exists because I know, from the inside, what it costs a family to keep going when the brain — a child's, a parent's, your own — is not working the way it should. And I know, also from the inside, what is possible when it is finally, properly supported.
